Additional Information:

The insurance certificate (certificate) remains valid as long as its number remains the same after the changes to your booking. Moreover, AlfaStrakhovanie is only responsible for the number of flights as originally specified in the insurance certificate.

In case transportation is fully or partially cancelled (ticket returned) before the commencement date of travel, the insurance policy (certificate) is terminated automatically. The insurance premium is fully refunded in the manner it was paid.

In other cases, to terminate the certificate at the initiative of the customer (without flight/transportation segment cancellation), please:

  • contact your airline’s call center by phone - before the end of check-in for the flight
  • use the feedback form - not later than 24 hours before departure

Your application shall specify:

  • booking code
  • full name of the customer
  • passport details

Please note that if a flight is made in at least one of the booking segments, no insurance premium will be refunded.

1: Contact the information desk at the airport of departure to obtain a stamp on the boarding pass indicating the actual time of departure and a flight delay cause

2: File a claim to AlfaStrakhovanie

3: Attach copies of the documents to the application:

  • Insurance certificate
  • Ticket (passenger itinerary receipt)
  • Boarding passes and/or other documents confirming check-in for the flight
  • In case of a flight delay - a boarding pass with a stamp indicating the actual time of departure and the flight delay cause
  • In case of flight cancellation - a cancelled flight certificate issued by your airline (mail notifications from the airline or SMS notifications may be considered)
  • In case of flight cancellation - paid tickets for the actual air, rail or bus travel, indicating the date and time, or boarding passes
  • Passport
  • Bank details

After receiving your claim, the Insurer may request additional documents in accordance with the insurance rules

4: The refund timeframe is usually up to 10 calendar days from the date of receipt confirmation for the full package of documents

1: Without leaving the baggage claim area, draw up a Property Irregularity Report (PIR)/Damage report at the Lost & Found counter

2: File a claim to AlfaStrakhovanie

3: Attach copies of the following documents to the application:

  • Insurance certificate
  • Passport
  • Ticket (passenger itinerary receipt)
  • Copies of baggage receipts, boarding pass
  • Documents confirming baggage damage/loss: baggage damage report (PIR/Damage report), receipts confirming expenses incurred
  • Photos of the damaged suitcase/bag and damaged contents (general view with visible damage and, separately, a close-up of the damage)
  • Bank details

After receiving your claim, the Insurer may request additional documents in accordance with the insurance rules

4: The refund timeframe is usually up to 10 calendar days from the date of receipt confirmation for the full package of documents

If your baggage is delayed for more than 4 hours from the time of arrival:

1: Without leaving the baggage claim area, report to the Lost&Found counter

2: Draw up an application and receive a Property Irregularity Report (PIR)

3: File a claim to AlfaStrakhovanie

4: Attach copies of the following documents to the application:

  • Insurance certificate
  • Passport
  • Ticket (passenger itinerary receipt)
  • Copies of baggage receipts, boarding pass
  • Documents confirming the loss/damage of baggage: baggage delay document (PIR), receipts for expenses incurred specified in the insurance policy (certificate)
  • Bank details

After receiving your claim, the Insurer may request additional documents in accordance with the insurance rules

5: The refund timeframe is usually up to 10 calendar days from the date of receipt confirmation for the full package of documents

1: Contact the airline and apply for a refund or exchange of tickets for a different date for the reason specified in the certificate

2: Use the Pobeda feedback form to apply for a ticket price refund and attach the answer you receive to your insurance claim (see clause 3)

3: Please inform AlfaStrakhovanie as soon as you get a refund for your air tickets and provide the following documents:

  • Claim
  • Insurance certificate
  • Passport
  • Ticket (passenger itinerary receipt)
  • Ticket cancellation certificate or certificate of ticket reissuance on the same route indicating the amount of refund/additional payment; or carrier’s answer to the ticket return request using the feedback form (see clause 2)
  • Documents confirming the occurrence of loss

4: The refund timeframe is usually up to 10 calendar days from the date of receipt confirmation for the full package of documents

1: In the country of stay, contact the representatives of your state’s embassy/consulate

2: Save all documents on duties and fees that you have paid

3: File a claim to AlfaStrakhovanie

4: Attach copies of the documents to the application:

  • Insurance certificate
  • Passport
  • Ticket (passenger itinerary receipt)
  • Documents confirming the amount and fact of payment of duties and fees
  • Bank details

After receiving your claim, the Insurer may request additional documents in accordance with the insurance rules

5: The refund timeframe is usually up to 10 calendar days from the date of receipt confirmation for the full package of documents

All insurance costs are covered by AlfaStrakhovanie. The insurance certificate does not include a deductible.

1: Contact the service operator using the contacts indicated in the certificate:

  • Tell the operator your international insurance certificate number and briefly describe what kind of medical services you need. The specialist will call a doctor or give you the address of the nearest clinic
  • Strictly follow the instructions of the operator. Do not pay bills on your own: the insurance company will reimburse the costs of insured events
  • If you failed to contact the service company before receiving medical services, do so as soon as possible.

2: If you visited the clinic without calling the customer service, draw up financial documents carefully. Submit proof of expenses to the insurance company within 30 days. You can find information on how to apply here

3: AlfaStrakhovanie will make a decision on reimbursement of expenses within a few days after your request
